Yes. Alfa Decode is local-first and runs on your own device with no internet. You can raise work orders, complete production and update stock offline, and it syncs to the cloud once a connection returns.
Does it handle GST in India and VAT in the UAE?
Yes. GST invoices and reports for India and VAT for the UAE are built in from one codebase. You can also send invoices and payment reminders to customers directly over WhatsApp.
How does it calculate the cost of my finished goods?
When you complete a work order it consumes the component stock and produces finished goods at weighted-average cost. This gives you an accurate, costed inventory value automatically, without manual calculation.
Will it warn me if I am short on materials before a production run?
Yes. Each work order scales requirements by your BOM yield and checks them against current stock, flagging any shortfall before you start so you can order missing raw materials in time.
Does completing a work order also sell the finished goods?
No. Completing a work order only produces the finished goods into stock at their costed value. You then sell those goods through Sales or POS, keeping production and selling cleanly separated.
Is it available on-premise or only in the cloud?
Both. Choose Cloud as a subscription or On-Premise as a one-time licence with AMC, from the same codebase. A white-label option is available if you want it under your own brand.
Can I manage bills of materials and work orders?
Yes. The Manufacturing engine is built around BOMs and work orders. You define each product's material list once, raise a work order for a build, and the app consumes raw materials and posts finished goods back to stock.
How does it work out what a finished product actually costs to make?
Raw materials are received at weighted-average cost. As a work order runs, that cost flows through the BOM into the finished item, giving you a genuine per-unit build cost rather than an estimate.
Does it handle GST or VAT on what I sell to trade buyers?
Yes. Invoicing is GST-ready for India (2.0 slabs, HSN, B2B/B2C, filing-ready reports) and VAT-ready for the UAE and KSA, with per-line tax and e-invoice-ready output.
Will it keep working if the internet or power drops on the shop floor?
Yes. The app is offline-first. You can keep receiving materials, running production and billing with no connection; it syncs to the cloud once you are back online.
